LWD Africa is an independent vehicle sourcing and export service based in London, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for personal information processed through this website and our enquiry channels.
What data we handle
This website has no contact forms. When you get in touch with us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email, we receive the details you choose to share — typically your name, contact details, the vehicle you're interested in and your destination country — so we can prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, fulfil your order.
The site itself collects only limited, anonymous analytics, and only if you consent to analytics cookies via our cookie banner. See our Cookie Policy for details.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare an all-in landed quote, arrange sourcing, inspection, shipping, insurance, customs clearance and inland delivery, keep you updated on the status of your order, and improve how the site works.
Legal bases (UK GDPR)
We rely on consent for optional analytics cookies, steps taken prior to entering a contract for handling your enquiry and preparing quotes, performance of a contract once you engage us to source and export a vehicle, legitimate interests for running and securing our business, and legal obligation for records we must keep by law.
Who we share it with
We only share personal data with the service providers needed to fulfil your order — for example shipping lines, marine insurers, customs brokers and clearing agents at destination — and with our analytics provider if you have consented to analytics cookies. When you choose to message us on WhatsApp, that conversation also passes through Meta's WhatsApp service under its own terms and privacy policy. We never sell your personal data.
International transfers
Messaging us via WhatsApp or Meta services may involve transfers of your data outside the United Kingdom under the safeguards those providers put in place. Shipping and customs also involve sharing information with parties in your destination country so your vehicle can be cleared and delivered.
Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed to handle your enquiry, deliver your order and meet any legal, tax or accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
